Michelle Payne - Our War MP3
Michelle Payne has been truckin' along as an independent artist since her 16th birthday. Her first tune was "My Darling Clementine." Eventually she learned a few Joan Baez songs, and it was then that she tried her hand at songwriting. Inspired by her very depressed Tori Amos listening experiences, she was soon writing songs that shared her deepest feelings and emotions. As a teenager, songwriting was the only way she knew how to communicate. Now as an adult, the songs have become an outlet as well, from her days working the nightshift at a domestic violence shelter, to her current struggle as a lonely singer in Los Angeles, CA. Now 24, she spends her days teaching rich kids the finer points of music, and her nights writing and singing songs about her experience with love, the south, and the struggle for balance. Her CDs can be found on her website.
