please state your name and purpose:
my name is annie and i'm 16. I love making zines
how long have you been making zines?
i think for about a year now...
what do you think compels you to make zines?
i love writing poems and in my journal so zines is a great way to get my writing out into the world.
where did you get all the card catalog cards?
hahaha from the school library (shhh) i work there
no one must ever know! could you write a haiku for me about stealing from the library?
catalog cards rock
so smooth and lined with words
blue, yellow and green!
what will happen when the library finds out you've been taking their catalog cards?
oh, they don't use them. i know because we have a online catalog and they don't use the catalog cards...plus the due date cards i used for the covers they have tons and tons of them. so no worries i will not be arrested!!
it would be funny, tho, if they did arrest you.
yeah, i would be dragged off to jail and as i leave the library the alarm goes off
haha
are you the most industrious 16-year-old in the world?
i don't know - i guess i could be one
do most of your friends make zines too? or are you a loner and rebel?!
no, actually i have no zine friends except for two of my friends
are they also library thieves?
no, they aren't as evil as i am!
what will we learn about you from your zines? how evil you are?
one thing you will learn about me in the zine is that i used to feel left out from christmas.
why are so many young ladies evil these days?
that is a very very good question. i think it is because we are bored and have nothing else to do
why?
you will find out by reading the zine :)
when I was your age, being bored meant indulging self-destructive tendencies... what do you think is driving bored teens to be productive rather than aimlessly destructive?
i think it could be the people who influence them. i was first exposed to zines by a book called zine scene
how do you think the internet has affected your outlook on life?
i think the internet has connected me with a lot of people i never would have known, like zinesters. it also actually encourages me to send postcards and letters and mail art.
do you spend a great deal of time online?
yes, i do..when i should be doing homework. it's hard to stay away from the computer
people say that the constant and instantaneous interaction available via the internet creates a false sense of intimacy...whaddaya think??
i think the internet has connected me with a lot of people i never would have known, like zinesters. it also actually encourages me to send postcards and letters and mail art.
who's better lindsay lohann or that blonde chick...hillary duff?
lindsay!!! i hate hilary
don't you think it's kinda weird that Wilmer valderwhozits is always dating way younger chicks?
didn't lindsay and wilmer break up??
NO! what?!
my friend told me that. he must be desperate
mandy moore ....lindsay...
mandy. i like her hair better...it's cute
what are three things that you wouldn't discuss in one of your zines?
i wouldn't talk/name names about my friends if i got mad at them, i am bad. i can't think of anymore...oh, i probably wouldn't take my livejournal entries and add them into my zine.
