Janice, why should people visit your website?
lessee...people should visit my website because it's very cheery and it will hopefully brighten their day! unless they're sickened by all the pink and baby blue colors...in which case, they shouldn't visit because it's verrrry cute!
how did you decide to create a crafty shopping website?
well, I used to think I wanted to own a cute store like you do! but I知 kinda shy and my friends pointed out if I had a real store I壇 have to like, talk to people. so with a website, I can hide behind emails!
talking to people is the worst part, seriously. people are mean and they want things from you
I know! I知 really bad at craft fairs!
what's the best advice another crafty/indie business lady has ever given you?
someone once told me not to take it personally when someone says they don't like the stuff I make, 'cause maybe that person is in a bad mood that day!
do you have any advice for crafty ladies who would like to start their own businesses?
I don't know if it's *good* advice, but at the risk of being sued by Nike, I say JUST DO IT! like, some people like to plan, and weigh pros and cons, and think ahead and stuff. but I just kinda *did* it and let stuff fall into place, and thankfully it did!

I like the part about me. What痴 the hardest part of being a crafty biz chick?
the hardest part for me is doing promotional stuff. I知 just not very good at getting myself out there, being shy and all, so sometimes I feel like no one has even heard of my site! and then I feel bad 'cause I want to feel like I知 doing my best to support the crafters who consign with me. and the other hard part is doing the bookkeeping, 'cause I suck at math!!!
do you think it's possible for crafty ladies to make a crafty living at being crafty?
I do! I don't know if it's the most glamorous life, and you certainly have to make tons of sacrifices to do it, but I think if it's something that makes you happy, then heck yeah, go for it!

the microwave!!! 'cause I can't cook, so every meal in the
