  • 5 White sheets of 67lb. weight cardstock
  • 5 Inexpensive brand tea bags
  • Small saucepan

Steps...

1. Save the Valentine Postcard image to your computer. Print several copies onto 67lb. cardstock paper.

(This might work with laser printers too, I just haven't tried it.) You'll use the rectangle's lines as your cutting lines. Or, make your own postcard template and choose your own graphic. The minimum allowable post card size, according to the US Post office is 3.5"H X 5"W. Cut out the postcards.

2. Simmer the tea bags in water for 10 -15 minutes.

3. Move the pot from the stove and take out the tea bags.

4. Quickly dip post cards in the tea and lay the postcards down to dry. Once they're dry, use a paint brush to splatter the postcards with the tea. Dry the cards again.

5. Iron postcards flat on low heat, by placing a cloth between the iron and the postcards.

6. Once the cards are dry, they are ready to use, or you can dress them up a bit with markers, glitter or paint.

7. Enjoy your finished product:
