I'm a self-taught designer who loves learning and teaching. I have meet some wonderful people in this business who love to share their knowledge. Designing jewelry is a passion and I hope to do it full time someday. Many of my designs have been featured on websites and in popular beading magazines. My website has a lot to offer, but I do have my own Signature Design. I have been making and selling jewelry for over 10 years, but my website is brand new and a work in progress. My jewelry business is based on custom orders and word-of-mouth sales. See more of my designs at http://www.jkdjewelry.com
Designing jewelry has changed the way I look at the world.

Tired of chunky beads and the same old gemstones? Rain Harris, ceramic artist from Kansas City, Missouri is launching a new line of colorful handmade porcelain jewelry just in time to spruce up your summer wardrobe. Lusterbunny Jewelry is made out of porcelain that has been glazed with various candy colored glazes. Each piece is then layered with handmade and vintage decals that are fired multiple times to temperatures as high as 2200 degrees. The process used is similar to collage, but the final effect is a permanent fused surface similar to the china you eat off of. All of the pieces are super durable, the images will never fade or peel.

Ben Baldwin is a painter and illustrator native to the Massachusetts area, currently residing in Long Beach, CA. Baldwin attended The Art Institute of Southern California and his paintings have been shown in galleries and venues nationally. Aided by thick brush strokes and a misty color palette, Baldwin turns simple subjects into whimsical, inquisitive illustrative portraits. Each of Baldwin‚s paintings contain details which engage the viewer by flirting with emotions and beliefs about the piece.

My Dearest is a girl with a great love of paper. A love that has transformed into the art of making paper, other wonderful gifts of paper, and lovely hand decorated cards (with original designs). Paper also plays a role in my t-shirts and bags. After drawing a fun design on paper, it becomes an acetate stencil, which then becomes a work of wearable (or portable) art. Isn‚t paper fun!?
NigatsuBebe was named after my cat, Bebe. She has a thing for digging through bead boxes until she finds the right shiny thing to play with. Those beads usually end up in jewellery first! She also sometimes finds her way into a yarn box- whatever she brings out gets knitted up into something fantastic. Very good colour-sense, for a cat!
I've been making jewellery for several years, but it isn't until recently I've found a purpose greater than my own income: raising money for local animal shelters. A third of all of my profits go towards no-kill shelters, which are frequently under-funded and in need of volunteer help.
When I wasn't working, I volunteered at Fix and Feed Feline Feral, a Tampa-based animal rescue that got colonies of feral cats spayed or neutered so that the problem of overpopulation does not continue. I can no longer donate my time to F&F, but even so, having rescued over fifteen cats from kill shelters myself, I think I can raise some money here for them (and other shelters).
Most of our shelters have NOT moved to no-kill status, and the Humane Society of the United States estimates that half of all the animals it receives are euthanised each year. Help stop this from happening by having your own pets spayed or neutered, and adopt from shelters instead of breeding programs or pet mills. Many communities now have discounted spay/neuter programs that lets the city pick up some of the cost when an individual cannot afford to pay the full amount, and discount shot days at many shelters.

I'm a 20-something Children's Librarian (by day) and proud to admit that my hand up a puppet's butt is a beautiful thing. Seriously my puppet shows are Oscar worthy! I can leap the book stacks in a single bound. The dewey decimal system rocks my world and yes I do know where Waldo is! A few things I've said during a day of work: "Max Put Your Pants On, There Are No Naked Butts At Storytime!" "Hannah We Don't Lick The Books!" "No We Do Not Have Any Actual Photographs of Jesus, Ma'am" I've also uttered "On Your Booties Cuties" and "Shhhhh!" More times than I'd like to admit. Yankee Girl Designs started as a way to help me relax after a day of wrangling screaming meatloafs and it's evolved into so much more. I love working with beads and stones and ending up with something kick-ass to wear. Mixing and matching different stones has become a passion of mine. I'm hoping that this buisness really takes off, my dream is to be a Stay-At-Home-Mom to my own weasels, once my hubby and I breed :)

I was brought up in Connecticut and have spent most of my playtime creating art. As long as I can remember, I have been crafting away at some sort of art piece. I graduated with Bachelor of Arts degree with a double study in Painting and Graphic Design. I have always had a passion for jewelry, which eventually led me to creating my own. Mainly, self taught over the past ten years, I have tried to bring my talent for design and my love for beautiful materials together to develop my own unique pieces. Many pieces are accented with a unique hand-sculpted and painted clay flower. Each clay flower is enhanced with semi-precious stones and sterling silver accents. My vision was to create jewelry that could be worn beautifully and comfortably ˆ everyday, for any occasion.
