March Samplers will have 15 items in a large Sampler and 5 items in a miniSampler. Full sized Samplers will also have at least 5 items from older Samplers mixed in!
Hello Sampler Friends!
I’ve got some big news to announce, and for some of you it might seem like bad news but I hope it ends up making the Sampler better.
I’ve decided that for the time being, we will stop monthly Samplers and switch to “quarterly”. The plan is to have March, as expected but then limit the remainder to June, September, and December. In 2011 I’d expect the first to be February and then follow with June, September and December again. Each Sampler will be limited to 200, and will be on sale until they sell out.
In addition to the Quarterly Samplers, I will still be representing contributors at events. The planned events are: the Oscars, MTV Movie Awards, the Emmys, and the American Music Awards (and in 2011 adding in the Golden Globe event).
My goal is to keep everything about the Sampler the same, just with less Samplers. With the economy the way it is, crafters cannot contribute as much as they’d like and I hope that by limiting the number of mailings, we can create better Samplers. If everyone is only participating 4 times a year, imagine how awesome the Samplers will be! I announced this news to Sampler contributors last week, and the response has been great! Everyone is very excited to participate in these new Samplers.
I really hope you all see this the same as I do…a chance to keep the Sampler going, making happy customers, and getting indie designers some exposure. I love the Sampler with all my heart, and know that 2010 will be an awesome year for us!
There’s a lot more specific info about the Samplers within this new site, but don’t worry…I’ll make sure you have all the details before you place any orders!

We’ve donated one of the bags to be sold at Craft Hope. All proceeds of the Craft Hope Etsy shop will benefit Doctors Without Borders in Haiti.
Each gift bag is different, so there are not items from every vendor inside each bag. From the photos, you can get an idea of what is inside, but not exactly everything…that’s half the fun of getting a Sampler! Any clothing in this gift bag is size Medium.

Ok, the holidays have calmed down, you’ve sat down for a second to recoup, and now you’re getting ready for 2010. Maybe one of your resolutions was to participate in a show, or just get out there more. There are so many venues out there to explore. My first venture into the crafty world was in fact the Sampler. It gave me a little courage to go out there a little more every month I’ve contribute. It also gave me tons of different ideas and now my studio is filled with tons of different type of crafty projects. So hopefully I’ll help you out by letting you know of any upcoming shows across the U.S. and Canada. If you know of one coming up, let me know and I’ll post about it!
With all that said, I love looking at the Toronto Craft Alert, because it makes me want to move! They always seem to have a show going on at some location in the city year round.
